As we approach the end of what has been another unusual year for us all, we wanted to take the time to reflect on the past 12 months and take the opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support.

The beginning of the year was spent helping a lot of you navigate the ins and outs of post-Brexit European trade with the end of the Transition Period. Through a lot of reassurance, and step-by-step guidance, we hope we were able to help get you through your first few shipments with relative ease and efficiency.

In March we all followed the saga of the Ever Given trapped in the Suez Canal with bated breath. This event highlighted the precariousness of the shipping industry, with circumstances beyond anyone’s control causing delays. We deeply sympathise with all those affected by this incident.

We were absolutely thrilled to be honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise earlier this year. As well as being a testament to the hard work and dedication our team puts in, we realise that our success is built on the success of you, our customers, we couldn’t have done it without your continued support.

After a rigorous audit process by HMRC, we were delighted to receive Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status for our stringent customs processes, demonstrating our exceptionally high standards when it comes to your import and export clearances.

In summer we teamed up with the Cabinet Office halfway through the year to bring you practical advice on how to handle the changes to European trade. With more changes destined to come into effect next year from 1st January, we’ve strived to keep you informed of how you may be affected, offering practical guidance to ensure your shipments continue to move as seamlessly as possible.

We appreciate it’s been a tough year for us all, and as we all battle the continuing hurdles that threaten to cause chaos in both our personal and professional lives. So, in addition to wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and New Year break, we hope 2022 brings us all even more happiness, prosperity and success, and most importantly, good health.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
