The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s highest accolade in Business, recognising industry leading excellence across the UK. The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, now The King’s Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK Businesses in the categories of:

Chosen after a rigorous selection process conducted by the Prime Minister’s Office, and ultimately approved by Her Majesty the Queen. Announced every year on 21st April, Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday, this prestigious Award is won by only a small number of Businesses in the UK each year. The Award is recognised Internationally as a seal of superior quality and trustworthiness.
KMB Shipping Group was established in 1987 in Oldbury, moving to Tipton in 1992. Over the years we have expanded our services from Freight Forwarding to providing total transport solutions, including Worldwide Road, Sea and Air Freight options, Export Documentation and Customs Clearances, and comprehensive Cargo Insurance.

LORD-LIEUTENANT CRABTREE
During our Award Ceremony, Lord-Lieutenant Crabtree spoke of the need for the West Midlands to get better at promoting itself on a Global Scale; to “write our own story” rather than have others tell it for us.
According to Lord-Lieutenant Crabtree, we have 4.2% of the nation’s population living here in the West Midlands and should therefore be winning around twelve Awards every year. In 2021, the West Midlands won just two.
That’s one of several reasons why our Award is so significant for our County.
“What you’ve achieved is taking this area all over the world,” said Lord-Lieutenant Crabtree, who wished us many Congratulations on behalf of the Queen.
